The Tooth Factory is the refurbishment, extension and transformation of a gloomy former Victorian factory site in Camden, creating 28 new, modern homes ranging in size from studio flats to a single, 3-bedroom family home.
The scheme re-purposed the existing entrances across the front façade, providing each new residential access core with a unique identity internally; combing a clean modern aesthetic with elements of the original building fabric.
Through embracing and working with the existing architecture, the fabric and character of the original warehouse building have been revived and celebrated. Once the proud home of Claudius Ash & Co., the existing factory building displays a high level of design and detail reflecting the status of the company as formerly the largest manufacturer of false teeth in Europe between 1840 until 1965.
