Child Graddon Lewis has been appointed to lead the commercial masterplan for the development of the former ITV Estate in Manchester to create a whole new district to be called St John's.
The site is being developed by Manchester Quays Limited (a joint venture between Manchester City Council and Allied London). The site is approximately 14 acres of prime central Manchester which was previously closed off to facilitate the film and TV production activities in both studios and outdoor lots, including the iconic Coronation Street set.
Our role is to develop the concept and delivery of the retail, leisure, commercial and cultural offer with particular reference to the public realm joining the buildings. Our expertise in retail and leisure, alongside masterplanning, commercial and residential development experience, has allowed us to develop, analyse and refine both the high level strategy and the technical / operational requirements.
